The Old Sawmill District combines all the elements of today's thoughtfully planned mixed-use communities, making it an ideal neighborhood for Missoula residents, families, businesses and customers.

The perfect location. The 46-acre mill site is located  in the heart of Missoula's Riverfront Neighborhood on the south bank of the Clark Fork River. The site adjoins McCormick Park, within walking distance to the Natural History Center, the new Currents aquatics facility and the new Civic Stadium, home of the Missoula Osprey—the Pioneer League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The extensive riverfront trail system connects The Old Sawmill District with downtown and The University of Montana. St. Patrick Hospital is directly across the river on West Broadway.

A thriving mixed-use development. The mix of residential, retail, commercial and recreational uses characterizes The Old Sawmill District's responsible and versatile neighborhood design. It features a variety of integrated housing types, close-at-hand commercial spaces, wide sidewalks, tree-lined streets and easy pedestrian access—all tied together with a central commons and open park space. The housing mix—designed with the flexibility anticipated to adapt to Missoula's changing housing market—consists of both rental and owner-occupied properties in townhome, condominium and single-family residence settings. Up to 140,000 square feet of space is dedicated for businesses, planned to provide a bustling mix of office, retail, restaurant and service use. Design guidelines that honor the site's history and today's aesthetics. Architectural, landscape and streetscape design elements are critical to creating a pleasant experience for residents, shoppers and pedestrians. Covenants will require architects and builders to add aesthetic details. Lighting is designed to allow for pedestrian needs, and scaled back to prevent excessive light pollution.

Putting residents on the river trail. Connectivity to the places where Missoulians love to play is crucial. Located on the Clark Fork River, Silver Park is a significant addition to the McCormick Park complex and riverfront trail system. The development's trails are designed to connect the Old Milwaukee and Bitterroot branch trails, while the park-like commons encourages outdoor activity, minimal driving and pleasant views.
